At long last Leeds United have captured Sol Bamba on a permanent transfer. The Ivorian signs a two-year deal after becoming something of a fans favourite when he arrived from Palermo on loan in January. However passing him on the way is Sporting Director Nicola Salerno, who probably won't be that missed by whites' followers.
Howson haunting a warning for the future? Wed 15th Apr 2015 01:22
At the moment, whoever is running Leeds United are trying to woo long-suffering season ticket holders into renewing with a video including some cute kids, Eddie Gray, Norman Hunter, David Batty, Neil Redfearn and current crop of academy graduates Sam Byram, Lewis Cook and Charlie Taylor. Cynics argue one or maybe all of the golden trio (not forgetting Alex Mowatt) may well be sold. Having sold Jonny Howson three-years ago to Norwich, our former skipper returned to haunt us. May this be a lesson to whoever is in charge!
Rudy red-carded but defensive mistakes so costly for 10-man Leeds Sun 05th Apr 2015 02:27
It seemed a fitting end to yet another ridiculous week at Elland Road. However, like our off-field saga's our grim fate on the pitch was largely sealed by our own self-implosion.
Crowd trouble mars Whites' draw at Blackpool Sun 22nd Mar 2015 21:55
It was probably an outing that we would rather forget and it doesn't look like we will be back for a few seasons, Leeds took a point on Blackpool's notoriously bad pitch but some of our notoriously bad supporters made headlines of their own.
Redfearn boosts job chances with Capital gain Thu 19th Mar 2015 05:11
Neil Redfearn boosted his chances of being in-charge next season as Leeds pulled off a smash and grab raid in west London. Fulham were punished as their attack led by two former Leeds favourites squandered a host of opportunities before Sam Byram, Sol Bamba and Mirco Antenucci struck to keep them in danger of a double-relegation.
Now it's Antenucci's turn to use social media to vent his anger Mon 09th Mar 2015 20:50
Mirco Antenucci has turned to Instagram in an amazing expletive laden rant presumably frustrated by his recent lack of first team opportunities.
Silvestri service as Sharp shots down suitors! Thu 05th Mar 2015 01:08
Marco Silvestre went from zero to hero in nine mad Elland Road minutes, the Italian keeper was guilty of a howler which allowed Ipswich to equalise before he pulled off a magnificent penalty save to deny Town a share of the spoils. In between, Billy Sharp who may well have joined a growing legion of Leeds old-boys in Suffolk grabbed what was a dramatic late winner.
Murphy's Magic pops Cherries Wed 21st Jan 2015 00:38
High flying AFC Bournemouth came crashing down to earth as they faced a spirited Leeds team on a snowy night at Elland Road and once again Luke Murphy stole the show with a goal of the season contender. Leeds also survived yet another shocking referreeing decision as Bournemouth fluffed a late penalty to give Leeds their first double of the season.
Sharp isn't going anywhere but Town in for ex Whites keeper Sat 17th Jan 2015 23:17
Neil Redfearn moved to end speculation linking Billy Sharp with Ipswich, but a former Leeds keeper might be on his way to help the Portman Road Premiership push.
Murphy rescues Leeds from "reffin' hell" Sat 17th Jan 2015 22:57
We've seen some dodgy decisions given on this famous old ground down the years! Ray Tinkler against West Brom in 1971 may linger in the memory-banks of our older readers, like me you may remember the Cypriot Travel-Agent who took charge of our Champions League qualifier in 2000 against TSV München, David Elleray anyone? Then today came Dean Whitestone!
